At the docks Saturday morning Day 1

Forza
we are following Breakaway here. In the first race we came in 4th (out of 7 boats).
Bill driving, Bridget on guy, Leigh in Pit, Beatrice trimming. Jon trimming main from down low.
Those Breakaway guys are hard to catch.

Race 2, heading downwind again. (I was trimming headsails upwind thus no pics form me).
Doing better this race, our competition is behind us.
We got a victory in race 2. Here Opus is chasing us.

We got a 2 in the third race, now we were third in the division behind Breakaway and Deviation.

Sunday -- Day 2
Again, bright and sunny -- and light air.

Holding off the competition successfully. Race 4 is a victory.
Storm, J-109. Having a very good regatta.
Race 5. Victory.
Race 6. Holding off Opus again. Another victory -- three on Sunday. A very good day!
Last race Sunday -- we won. A first, a second, and a first. A very good day.
The following Saturday morning, Sept 28th. Damp and misty.
Race committee gives us a short delay, then sends us off with a start in less than 5 knots of breeze.
We got a victory n the first race.
We got a narrow victory in the second race.
Early afternoon. The sun comes out and kills what little breeze we had. good thing -- we were getting buried. Race Committee cancels the race after we drift for about 10 minutes.
Reliant, J-109. Skipper Matt Baxter sails with us some times.
Sunday. clammy, almost drizzly. We have a nice lead in our division and are hoping to do well in the PHRF fleet.
We are on the launch headed to Whirlwind.
We won the first race.
Race 2 ... Deviation rounds right behind us at the top mark and gets past us going downwind. They win the race, we come in second.
Race 3 -- we win this one BIG. Very big. Our competition is small behind us.

Carbonato won the Joyette Trophy for the best PHRF performance in the fall. However, we won that trpphy in the spring.

Then:
Whirlwind wins the Roger Sherman Memorial Trophy for best performance overall in all divisions in the spring and fall, 2013. The BIG trophy! :) :)
